"We can install knives in our pokemon? That's badass." Chu-e's eyes had a hint of his usual mischief in them. He grinned, puffing out a soft snort before shaking his head. "Nah, just need some... uh... " A note was taken out of his pocket. "Lesse... at least three vials of blood, skin samples, weight measurements, hmm...." He tossed the paper onto the table, next to the unconscious pokemon. "I dunno, whatever all this nerd shit is. Wanna help out?"

Chu-e knew that technically he could just order the guy to do it, but what was the fun in that?

If @alek picked up the list, he would find the list to be very precise. Written by someone who knew what they were doing and looking for, even if at the moment Alek wasn't privy to what.

@alek was absolutely correct that Chu-e had no idea what to do with any of the samples, but still! Break his heart, why don't you?!

"'S for something super secret." This guy had guts to outright ask. Chu-e laughed, short and sharp, showing more teeth than needed. He still felt pretty bad but this whole interaction was making him feel better. "Come on now, I don't even know your name, my dude." He grinned again and this time it was sharper, a challenge gleaming in his eyes.

"Maybe if you can prove you can run with the big dogs you'll get to learn. Because it's really fun stuff." With that little tease, he glanced at the Larvitar. "Ah, just fyi, don't do anything too permanent to it. I need to evolve it for more tests later." Beyond that, Alek has the free reign to do whatever he wanted to the pokemon.

"Bio specialist?" Chu-e regarded him for a moment, a new gleam in his eye. "You know... you impress me and I'll see what I can do." While @alek's studies were impressive to his unenlightened ears, he also was still one of many; if you were in Rocket's R&D department, it wasn't because you had a passing interest in making paper mache volcanoes.

"Sure thing. Seems riveting." Yet Chu-e did still peer down curiously. He might not have been much for science but he was still interesting. "And take whatever extra you need. Hell, what are you looking into? I'm going on a pokemon hunt soon for more subjects. Won't hurt me to keep an eye out for something specific if you're in the market."

"Well well, lucky you. I'm hunting Eelektross line. if I spot a Rotom, I'll send it your way. Think of it as a little for helping me out... if I even find one, of course." No reason to make promises if eh couldn't be sure he could keep them. But, while Rotom were stupidly popular in Hoenn for whatever reason, he saw no reason to own one of his own. He didn't care for ghost types and found their ability to possess certain devices... invasive.

"Yeah, it's mine. Lucky I remembered I had it." It would be one less 'clean' copy they needed to track down, after all. Most of his pokemon he didn't regularly use or were for trading he tended to keep in their pokeballs. Stasis was better than having to look at them.

Chu-e did eye the the machine but was a good boy for now. While @alek might have been a big brain, Chu-e was a thief long before he was a killer. If he really wanted it that badly, he was sure he could swipe it when the other wasn't looking.

"Say, what's with the beak? You're not bad looking."

Chu-e is about to make a smart quip about the mask when the rumbling starts up. He glances up, eyes narrowed, the sounds of the bustling lab all pausing as whatever happened... happens. It is silent for a few moments, only the sounds of machines whirring and beeping, before finally a paper is rustled. Sound returns slowly to the room, everyone on edge.

His eyes are sharper now, less relaxed, when he glanced back at @alek.

"That happen often?" This time the question is said more like an order instead of his previous requests. He glances at where he thinks the sound came from again, and only after he waits for the other to answer does he finally seem to... relax. Just a bit. But his hand is tucked in his pocket now, gripping a pokeball. Just in case.

He licks his lips, pauses as the picks up the fragments of what they had been chatting about before.

"I was one of the Beasts in Kanto. Pewter and Cinnabar were my doing." Which, well, if Aleks knew anything about what happened in Kanto, he would know the overtaking of those cities were... particularly bloody. Late in the war, when they were some of the last strongholds the League had.

"Hmm." Is all Chu-e replies with at first, still eying the vents. After the other day in the training deck... it didn't hurt to be careful.

But, his attention is quickly shifted back to @alek.

"People shouldn't enjoy killing." It's said flatly. Chu-e isn't judging Alek for assuming that or blaming him. It's more a challenge. His own test of the other.

Chu-e Choi had slaughtered countless people to get where he was today and he mourned every one of them.

Contrary to popular belief, while Chu-e would gladly maim or kill anyone who stood in his way didn't mean he liked it. He had known people who got hard from torture, who lavished in it, craved it- but he never had. Chu-e was just someone willing to do anything for his ideals.

That also wasn't how Rocket used to be. Many from the Kanto line were warped and broken by what Rocket had made them into. Chu-e was still trying to sew the fractured pieces of himself together at times. No one deserved to go through what happened to him as he rose through those ranks.

That is why he wanted Rocket to be a family now.

After the tense moment, letting it sink in for the other, he lets it slide.

"Cant we just squeeze it or something?" He frowns at the idea of having to get it's shit and piss. "What if I just let her with you? I'll pick her up later? You can do whatever weird shit you want to her." A pause. "Except, like, fuck her. I don't like pokephiliacs in my ranks."
